The story behind the shop
Every piece has a history. Eddie knows it.
Estates by Eddie is a curated vintage resale shop built on decades of hunting, learning, and falling in love with objects that outlast their owners.
How it started
Eddie Brittenham has spent the better part of thirty years walking through estate sales, antique markets, and forgotten storage units — not as a dealer, but as someone genuinely curious about what people kept and why.
What began as a personal obsession with mid-century ceramics slowly grew into something bigger: a reputation among collectors and families for finding the right home for pieces that deserved one. Estates by Eddie was the natural next step.
Today, every item in the shop has been personally sourced, researched, and vetted by Eddie. Nothing ships without a story attached to it.
The sourcing philosophy
Not everything old is worth keeping. But the things that are — they're worth finding.
Personal sourcing only
Every piece is found by Eddie directly — estate sales, private collections, and the occasional lucky find at a regional auction. No wholesale lots, no drop-shipping.
Honest condition notes
Vintage means lived-in. Chips, patina, and wear are described accurately so you know exactly what you're getting before it arrives.
Provenance when possible
When a piece comes with a story — a family name, a region, a decade — that context travels with it. Objects with history are worth more than objects without.
Priced to move
The goal isn't to sit on inventory. Pieces are priced fairly so they find their next owner quickly and the collection keeps turning over.
What makes each piece special
The shop focuses on a handful of categories Eddie knows deeply — not because they're trendy, but because they reward close attention.
Ceramics & pottery
From studio pottery to mid-century production ware, ceramics carry the fingerprints of their makers in ways that mass production never will.
Art glass
Depression glass, art deco vases, hand-blown studio pieces — glass rewards the patient eye and the right light.
Vintage jewelry
Signed pieces, unsigned pieces, and everything in between. Each item is examined for hallmarks and construction before it goes in the case.
Decorative objects
The things that don't fit a category but stop you cold when you see them. Curiosities, conversation pieces, objects with presence.
